The NFL season is a roller coaster ride and even the best teams in the league have an off week. Here is a look at the top upset possibilities for week 7 and teams that need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

The NY Giants are coming off a huge win at San Francisco, but a let-down is likely this week against NFC East rival Washington. The Redskins defeated New York twice last season and Washington needs a win to keep pace in the division. While the Giants are the best team on paper, don't be shocked if the Redskins pull an upset this weekend.

Dallas is another NFC East team that needs a win, but the Cowboys' offense has been very inconsistent and this week they travel to Carolina to face the Panthers. Cam Newton and company have had two weeks to prepare for this contest and despite winning just one game this season, could pull off the upset on Sunday.

Another home team that needs a win this week is St Louis and despite the fact the Rams' offense is playing mediocre football, they have yet to lose at home and the defense is playing some terrific football. The Packers' offense finally played at a high level last weekend, but until they show some consistency, this week's game could put the Rams on track for a spot in the NFL Playoffs, but this game will be a tough win, even with the home crowd behind them.
